designer // model // youtuber
My name is Cartier Dior and I am a 17 year old fashion designer, model, and Youtuber. Within these three outlets, I strive to reduce the environmental and ethical impact of the fast fashion industry. Nearly all of my clothing is either secondhand or from clothing companies that produce ethically, and I encourage others to follow a similar route.
My interests include vintage fashion (specifically the 70's), thrift shopping, cats, musical theatre, Idina Menzel, studying French, painting, and wearing a lot of turtlenecks.
I started designing dresses at the age of nine, with a dress made from upcycled phonebooks. From there, I honed my design and clothing construction skills through books and online tutorials. In 2016, I was lucky enough to be a contestant on season 2 of Project Runway Junior. I also collaborate with FIDM Fashion Club to bring their readers fashion related DIYs and inspiration. After I graduate this May, I plan to pursue a degree in fashion design.
I started modeling in 2013 in order to learn more about the modeling side of the fashion industry and I was instantly hooked. I am currently signed to Urban Talent Management in Salt Lake City.
My YouTube channel launches August 4th. Follow my social media accounts to get updates and see sneak peeks of new videos!
